The Air Jordan 4 "Zen Master" is a Spring 2021 release of Michael Jordan's fourth signature shoe in a colorway that honors Jordan's head coach with the Chicago Bulls, Phil Jackson. Inspired by Jackson's "Zen Master" nickname, thus Jordan 4 is complete with design elements inspired by Jackson and his unique coaching philosophy, which included elements of various spiritual traditions. The shoe's upper features a celestial, starry appearance with details such as "Zen Master" printed on the underside of the tongue. Translucent eyelets and black netting on the sides and tongue contrasts the look. A translucent heel tab with black Jumpman branding gives the shoe a contemporary appearance. Additional branding appears in the form of a red Jumpman on the tongue. A black painted mudguard and grey outsole put the finishing touches on this unique look for the Air Jordan 4.
