The Women's Nike Dunk High "Moon Fossil" is a women's-exclusive lifestyle colorway of the shoe that originally debuted in 1985. A December 2021, the "Moon Fossil" is a versatile look for the former college basketball shoe worn by the country's top programs in the '80s, including Michigan, St. John's, and Kentucky, among others. Details include a black leather base with Moon Fossil-colored leather overlays and Swoosh branding. Both the laces and interior lining are also in Moon Fossil. Other design components include taupe-colored "Nike" and Swoosh branding on the tongue tag, a black tongue, and a Moon Fossil-colored leather pull tab on the heel.
