The Jaden Smith x New Balance Vision Racer "Blazing Yellow" is a fresh look of the environmentally friendly shoe design by music artist Jaden Smith for New Balance. A Fall 2020 release, the "Blazing Yellow" design is as attention grabbing as its nickname suggests, both in color and in shape. The shoe's singular aesthetic combines two classic New Balance models, the 1700 and X-Racer, into one. The thick yellow EVA midsole is separated into three blocks along the forefoot, midfoot, and heel. The same yellow hue is applied to the mesh paneling on the toe, sides, and heel. Subtle grey synthetic leather overlays can be found on the forefoot and underneath the reflective "N" branding on the mid-panel. A white leather overlay and "NB" insignia appear on the heel. The shoe is constructed using recycled materials, most notably polyester from post-consumer goods on the upper and foam and rubber on the insoles. Release date: November 6, 2020.
