The Salehe Bembury x New Balance 574 Yurt "Emerald Sky" is one of several colorways included in the collection of outdoors-inspired footwear designed by Salehe Bembury. Released in April 2022, the "Emerald Sky" is one of multiple 574 Yurt colorways created by Bembury for his popular collaboration with New Balance. The shoe is a complete remodel of New Balance's iconic 574 silhouette, as it takes on an outdoors look with a unique whistle on the heel that promotes safety and survival while hiking. The base of the shoe is constructed from Emerald Sky-colored mesh. Tonal hairy suede overlays appear on the toe, mid-panel, collar, and heel. A reflective "N" logo is found on either side of the shoe. Overall, the look combines elements of heritage New Balance footwear with contemporary styling. The New Balance 574 was originally introduced as a trail running shoe in the 1980s, and Salehe Bembury's spin on the model undoubtedly culls inspiration from its original purpose.
