The Salehe Bembury x New Balance 574 Yurt "Black" is a mostly monochromatic black colorway of the outdoors-inspired shoe by the popular sneaker designer. The "Black" succeeds Salehe and New Balance's previous 574 Yurt collaborations like the "Shark Skin" and "Emerald Sky," and is every bit as coveted and easy-to-wear as those styles. The 574 Yurt is a complete remodel by Salehe of the classic 574 silhouette, as it takes cues from outdoors performance footwear. The base of the shoe is constructed from black mesh. Tonal hairy suede overlays appear on the toe, mid-panel, collar, and heel. A reflective "N" logo is found on both sides of the shoe. A unique whistle on the heel that promotes safety and survival while hiking adds another point of intrigue to the shoe. The New Balance 574 was originally released as a trail running shoe in the 1980s, and Salehe Bembury's take on the model undoubtedly culls inspiration from its original purpose.
