The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 550 "Conversations Among Us" is a popular collaboration between the Chicago based sneaker and streetwear designer and New Balance on the retro basketball shoe that helps tell the story of Black Americans. The "Conversations Among Us" campaign is a collaboration between Joe Freshgoods and Black Soles, a collection of Black New Balance associates that aims to shed light on the experiences of Black folks in America. The 550 is one of several New Balance models part of the "Conversations Among Us" line. Championing a vintage-inspired look, the shoe features a mostly monochromatic cream-colored appearance. Contrasting grey suede accents are found on the collar and midfoot. A cream "N" logo appears on the sides. Underfoot, an all-cream rubber sole completes the look.
