The Air Jordan 9 "Racer Blue" is a futuristic take on Michael Jordan's ninth signature model. Despite originally releasing during Jordan's first retirement from basketball, the Jordan 9 holds a special place in the lineage of Air Jordans if not for the simple fact that Jordan only wore the shoe during his brief stint with the Washington Wizards. The "Racer Blue" Jordan 9 features a black nubuck upper that is contrasted by speckled black and white rope laces. An iridescent matte blue finish is applied to the signature mudguard that extends to the heel and up to the collar, which showcases an array of colors when hit with light. The heel globe logo and the Jumpman on the midsole are both presented in royal blue. The look is finished off with a painted black midsole and white rubber outsole. Release date: January 25, 2020.
