The Air Jordan 7 "Greater China" is a special colorway of Michael Jordan's seventh signature shoe that honors China's passion for the game of basketball. The "Greater China" also salutes the country's appreciation for Jordan's signature shoe collection, which has been a fixture in China's streetwear scene for decades. As for the look of this shoe, overtures to traditional Chinese culture appear throughout the design. Patterns reminiscent of dragon scales can be found on the detailing of the black nubuck material that appears on the mid-panel and forefoot. The scales are lasered into the white leather overlays found on the toe, eyelets, and heel. Both the heel and tongue feature Chinese characters in white and red embroidery, respectively. Jordan Brand incorporates a gold embroidered Jumpman on the outside of the collar while placing traditional Chinese patterns on the medial side to complete the look. Release date: September 5, 2020.
