The Air Jordan 2 GS "Black History Month" is the kids-sized version of the special colorway celebrating Black History Month in 2019. The grade school Jordan 2 mirrors the standard men's release of the shoe, with a black leather upper overlaid with colorful geometric patterns inspired by African art on the TPU heel panels. The same patterns are printed tonally across the rest of the black upper. Metallic gold accents are added to the basketball on the Air Jordan wings logo on each tongue, as well as the Nike branding on the heels. The outsole features the bright blue, red, and yellow shades of the pattern on the upper. The children's Air Jordan 2 GS "Black History Month" released on February 2, 2019.
