The Nike Dunk High SP PS "Varsity Maize" is the youth sizing of an original Dunk colorway from Nike's heralded "Be True to Your School" pack from 1985. The "Varsity Maize" was designed specifically for the Iowa Hawkeyes basketball team in the mid '80s and has been used as the base colorway of the highly sought after "Wu-Tang" Dunk sample shoe from 1999. Here, Nike reissues the classic look as part of its Dunk renaissance of 2020. True to the original design, the upper displays buttery black leather on the perforated toe, mid-panel, and collar. Contrasting Varsity Maize or yellow leather overlays can be found on the forefoot, eyelets, collar, and heel. Additional yellow accenting is located on the Swoosh branding on either side as well as on the "Nike Air" detailing on the black nylon tongue tag and on the laces. Release date: December 9, 2020.
