The Nike Air Max 270 "University Red" is a monochromatic red colorway of the modern shoe inspired by Nike's Air Max 180 and Air Max 93 models. The "University Red's" snug sock-like build is loosely drawn from the Air Max 180's mesh and suede appearance. The 270's large Air bubble in the heel is a dramatized take on the Air Max 93's 270-degree Air cushioning unit. As for the rest of the shoe, the entire upper is finished off in a fiery University Red material that is both lightweight and breathable. Two Swooshes appear on the collar and forefoot. "Air" and "270" branding can be located on the heel and tongue, respectively. The Air Max 270 features a robust, visible Air unit in the heel of its midsole for all-day comfort.
