The Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 "Heavy" is a collaboration between the Boston based sneaker boutique and Nike on the old school running shoe in a colorway inspired by 1960s and '70s music and fashion. A bold look for the always-popular shoe, the "Heavy" colorway draws favorably from the era's music festivals, specifically Woodstock, as the cowhide forefoot overlay is a nod to Bethel, New York, the dairy farm that hosted the event back in the day. The unique fashion worn by the festival's headlining acts and concert goers informs the eye-catching bandana, denim, and woven materials found on the "Heavy's" design. A tiger camo pattern is applied to the mudguard that spans the toe to the heel. Concepts and Nike place a multicolor Swoosh on either side of the shoe to accentuate the collaboration's"flower power" aesthetic. The mud splatter design on the midsole is a reference to the muddy conditions at Woodstock in 1969. Release date: March 12, 2022
