The Air Jordan 12 PS "Utility" is the preschool sizing of Michael Jordan's twelfth signature shoe in a modified style that recruits Nike's sustainable "Grind" material into the sole. An August 2021 release, the "Utility" is the latest progression of the retro basketball shoe that introduced Nike's Zoom Air technology into the Air Jordan line in 1997. A black tumbled leather upper is paired with a black synthetic nubuck mudguard. Red piping borders the "Jumpman" branding on the lateral side. The tongue appears in a rugged black ballistic mesh textile. Other details include a black painted midsole with a faux lizard skin finish and an outsole constructed from Nike's "Grind" composition, which contains up to 3% recycled materials.
