The Air Jordan 1 Mid TD "Banned 2020" is the toddler sizing of Michael Jordan's first signature shoe in a colorway inspired by the Nike Air Ship. Famously, Jordan was barred from wearing the Air Ship "Black/Red" or "Banned" colorway during his rookie season by then-commissioner David Stern because the shoe violated the league's team uniform policy. The "Banned" seen here mimics the black and red color block of that Air Ship by featuring black leather on the mid-panel, forefoot, and collar. Gym Red leather contrasts the look by appearing on the collar, heel, and Swoosh branding on either side of the shoe. The fiery shade of red is also located on the Jumpman on the tongue tag and on the pull tab on the heel. A black "Wings" logo appears on the collar.
