The Air Jordan 1 Mid SE PS "Purple Suede" is the preschool sizing of Michael Jordan's first signature shoe in a colorway that combines different materials and colors to tell its story. The "Purple Suede" makeup of the alternate mid-top Jordan 1 sports a regal hue of purple suede paneling on the heel that contrasts the smooth white leather found on the collar, mid-panel, and toe. The same hairy suede fabric can be found on the Swoosh detailing on either side and on the forefoot, toe cap, and eyelets. Jordan Brand places a purple "Wings" emblem on the collar and purple Jumpman branding on the tongue tag of the black nylon tongue.
