The Women's Air Jordan 8 "Taxi" is a women's colorway of the vintage basketball shoe with a black-and-yellow design that's inspired by New York City taxi cabs. Debuted on the Air Jordan 12 back in the day, the "Taxi" theme has been used on many Air Jordan shoes in a variety of styles over the years, and it enlivens Michael Jordan's eighth signature shoe in a spectacular way here. The upper is designed with a black leather construction with two criss-cross straps on the midfoot. The Jordan 8's signature heel counter is designed with a combination of black, Taxi, and Opti Yellow accents. Additional yellow detailing comes into play on the adjustable strap with tonal "Air Jordan" branding on both sides of the shoe, on the chenille tongue patch, and on the forefoot and heel of the midsole.
