ZX 8000 "Sean Wotherspoon - Super Earth" GZ3088

The Sean Wotherspoon x adidas ZX 8000 "Super Earth" is a collaboration between the vintage fashion curator and adidas on the retro running shoe. Teased for months before its official release in April 2021, the "Super Earth'' is the follow-up to Wotherspoon's adidas Superstar that debuted in August 2020. Like that model and all of Wotherspoon's sneaker projects, the Virginia native's ZX 8000 utilizes eco-friendly materials in its design. A blend of recycled polyester and canvas in a mismatching patchwork pattern forms the base of the shoe. The multi-color embroidered floral motif on the lateral side of the shoe is similar to the look featured on Wotherspoon's aforementioned adidas Superstar. The tongue, which is lifted from the adidas Samba, displays "Super Earth" embroidery. A rainbow-like assortment of embroidered adidas logos are stitched onto the medial side of the shoe. "SW" branding on the heel completes the look. Release date: April 16, 2021.
