The adidas NMD R1 "Black/Red/White" is a classic look for the retro-modern lifestyle silhouette inspired by archival adidas performance running shoes. With its woven sock-like upper and responsive Boost cushioning midsole, the adidas NMD is as comfortable a shoe as there is on the market today. Adidas constructs the stretch knit upper in black and adds tonal "Three Stripes" branding to either side. The black synthetic heel counter with classic adidas insignia provides lockdown support. Despite its sock-like design, the NMD features a traditional lacing system. Blue and red plugs in the Boost cushioned midsole are a throwback to the design of classic adidas running shoes. As mentioned, the Boost sole provides return energy for all-day wearability.
