The Air Jordan 1 Low "Football Grey/Aluminum" is a colorway of Michael Jordan's first signature shoe in its low-top silhouette that unofficially pays homage to his alma mater, the University of North Carolina. Jordan famously starred for the UNC Tar Heels college basketball team in the early 1980s, and helped the team win an NCAA National Championship in 1982. The "Football Grey/Aluminum" features accents in the primary color found on the Tar Heels' team uniforms, light blue or Carolina Blue. Specifically, the shade appears on the leather toe, forefoot, eyelets, collar, heel, and Swoosh. Contrasting grey suede forms the base of the upper. A tonal "Wings" logo is embroidered on the heel.
