The DTLR x New Balance 2002R "Virginia Is For Lovers" is a shoe made in collaboration between the retailer and New Balance that celebrates the former's DMV-area roots. DTLR and New Balance have collaborated on several occasions, including on the 2002R "Virginia Is For Lovers." The shoe's color scheme is derived from the "Virginia Is For Lovers" tourism and travel sign. The upper features a light grey mesh base with tonal suede overlays. An "N" logo with blue and red trim appears on the sides. A red overlay with "2002R" branding is found on the lateral side of the collar. An N-ergy foam midsole provides a comfortable ride.
