The Nike Air Kukini "Pixel" is a unique colorway of the retro running shoe that leans heavily on the silhouette's early 2000s, Y2K-era vibe. The Air Kukini along with the Nike Air Presto debuted as part of the now-defunct Nike Alpha Project, an athlete-based campaign that aimed to improve upon Nike's performance footwear technology by studying how athletes use and perform in shoes. As for the design of the "Pixel," the colorway features a galaxy-inspired woven textile construction. A semi-translucent milky TPU overlay "cage" contrasts the look throughout. Signature "Nike" branding appears on various points of the shoe and takes on a "glitch" inspired pixelated design. A cream foam midsole with visible Air cushioning in the heel completes the look.
